the Toy Story Trilogy

1. The movie was originally supposed to be called “You Are A Toy.”

2. Barbie’s blue jazzercise outfit from Toy Story 3 is based on the 1983 “Great Shape” Barbie.  The Ken doll is modeled after “Animal Lovin” Ken from 1988, which came complete with his “own chimpanzee to care for and love.” (Ken wears 21 different outfits during the movie).

3. The Pizza Planet delivery truck, which appeared in all three Toy Story films, has been in every Pixar movie except the Incredibles.  Pizza Planet was originally supposed to be called Pizza Putt, a combination miniature golf course/ pizzeria.

4. In their most productive week, Pixar created 3.5 minutes of animation.

5. The character Andy was named for Andries “Andy” Van Dam, a Brown professor and computer science and animation expert who taught many of the creators of the film.

6. Sid, the bully from the original Toy Story, appears in Toy Story 3 as a garbage man, wearing the same skull t-shirt.
